Netflix has replaced the void left by the downfall of cable TV, and dare we say, the world is all the better for it. The viewers are constantly supplied with endless originals. The actors too have benefited tremendously since the rise of Netflix as they bag millions of dollars working with Netflix. And although there may be a pay gap between film actors are actors who mostly work in series, their salaries are still enough to make us commoners feel broke as heck. Here’s a list of series actors that get paid the highest of them all.

Henry Cavill

We all  love seeing heartthrob Henry Cavill on our screens in The Witcher, but we have to assume he loves being in it even more, as he gets paid a whopping $400,000 per episode. His co-star Anya Chalotra’s paycheck reportedly ranges around $300,000 to $400,000 as well.

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown rose to fame at a young age when she debuted in Netflix Original Stranger Things in 2016. In the first season, her pay was reported to be around $20,000 per episode, but given how the series has grown exponentially popular with each new season, her paycheck has been reportedly elevated to a staggering $300,000 to $350,000 per episode. When we were 16, we were still trying to look good in our braces.

Jason Bateman

Starring alongside Laura Linney in Netflix Original Ozark, Jason Bateman makes $300,000 per episode according to a report by Variety in 2017. The same amount is reportedly made by Linney as well.

Elliot Page

As of 2021, Elliot Page gets paid $200,000 per episode for starring in The Umbrella Academy. He stars alongside actors like Tom Hopper and Emmy Raver in the Netflix original series, the third season of which is due in 2021.

Anya-Taylor Joy

The 24-year old actress recently starred in The Queen’s Gambit, a smash-hit Netflix Original, alongside actors like Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Harry Melling, and according to reports, she got paid somewhere around a million dollars for the 7-episode series, which amounts to more than $100,000 per episode.

Apart from originals, actors of other shows that are streamed on Netflix also get paid for that, called “residual pay”. Actors like Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory and Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad, although not Netflix actors per se, also make money in bulks from having their shows featured on Netflix.
